Oral hygiene is one of the important principles of personal hygiene and has a great impact on one's general health.

Healthy gums and teeth play an important positive effect on chewing and digesting food, talking and on appearance. It is important to know that if permanent teeth are properly maintained, they will last a lifetime, but if they are pulled, no more natural teeth will grow to replace them. Healthy gums should be pink and firm and stick to the jawbone and teeth. If bacteria remain in the mouth, they form plaques on the teeth, which may cause your gums to become inflamed, which eventually result in red, swollen, or bleeding gums.

The following points are important for oral health:

  • Prevent tooth decay by regularly flossing and brushing your teeth before the microbial plaque is formed.
  • Observe the correct way to use toothfloss and toothbrushes.
  • Choose the right toothbrush.
  • It is best to eat fresh fruits and vegetables between meals rather than sweets.
  • It is better to brush or rinse your mouth and teeth several times after consuming any sugary foods.
  • Visit your dentist at least once a year to ensure oral health.
