Bad date?

A bad date doesn't have to be the end of the world. Here are some tips to get over a disaster date:

1. Take a step back and try to figure out what went wrong. Not everyone is always on their A-game so cut yourself some slack. Maybe it wasn't as bad as you first thought. It might be worth giving it another try - first impressions aren't always the right impression.

2. Don't be too hard on yourself. Bad dates happen - they can't all be amazing. It's neither person's fault.

3. Laugh it off. Tell someone about it so you can let go of the frustration. Find the bright side.

4. Learn the lesson. If the date turned sour because you spoke or acted inappropriately reassess how you'll tackle the next one. If it was because of things you didn't like in your date then make a note of them so you know to stay away from them next time.

5. Take a break. It's easy for a number of bad dates to affect you badly and make you unsure of yourself. The breather will help you shake it off and get your head in the game.

Have you had to recover from a bad date? Did they you give your date another chance or did you "lose" their number?
