It's sexy, says B-Flow

A new generation female condom dubbed “The Maximum Diva” woman’s condom has been launched in Zambia. The Maximum Diva is a totally new design, and is thinner, softer and easier to use. This puts power in a girl's hands to have safer sex and protect herself from unintended pregnancy and STIs, including HIV and the human papillomavirus.

Musician Brian Bwembya (also known as B-Flow) says it's sexy because it changes the stakes for girls. He is quoted in The Times of Zambia as saying: "It has always been a man who makes the decision of when to have sex and how and that has been dangerous because when a man decides not to use protection, a woman cannot say anything and this has been one of the reasons leading to the rapid spread of HIV."

A condom, male or female, remains the only means of triple protection against pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections and HIV. The ‘Diva’ is made is made from non-latex, transparent polyurethane film, far much softer and thinner than other condoms thus increasing the sensation for both partners. The ‘Diva’ is going for only K10 and is available in all leading chemists across the country.

You can insert the female condom up to 8 hours before you are going to have sex . That means you are protected and ready, and won’t get HIV. Or if you prefer, you can insert it immediately before you have sex. You can buy the Maximum Diva in pharmacies or find other female condoms in clinics for free.
