It is crucial to educate pregnant adolescents and young women with disabilities about the warning signs during pregnancy and instructing them to go to a health facility to see a doctor immediately if any of the following occurs:

  • Vaginal bleeding;
  • Severe abdominal pain or cramping;
  • Loss of fluid from the vagina;
  • Severe or prolonged nausea or vomiting;
  • Severe dizziness;
  • Painful urination;
  • High fever.
